Presentation at the Geotherm 2024 in Offenburg

We were part of the largest European conference on geothermal energy in Offenburg. Fabian Nitschke, the scientific director of MALEG, gave a presentation on the project and its basic concept. The focus was on the geochemical and geoscientific aspects of the project.

Contribution to the European Geothermal Workshop

We participated with 2 contributions to the European Geothermal Workshop from November 8 to 10 in Utrecht, Netherlands. First, a presentation of our project to introduce the idea to international partners and make new connections. Second, to present a poster on the progress made in developing the Digital Twin.

3rd General Assembly

The consortium was meeting at Haag am Hausruck in Austria for the 3rd general assembly of the MALEG project.

Our visit at the German Geothermal Congress in Essen

The annual German Geothermal Congress will be in Essen from the 16th to the 19th of October. We will give a 3-minute presentation about the general idea of the project on the 18th of October at 12:10 in the Saal A2. 2nd General Assembly

The consortium was meeting at Fraunhofer ISE premises in Freiburg, Germany. The visit of the Fraunhofer ISE laboratories and workshops and the introduction to the demonstration plant’s conceptual design, interfacial requirements and capabilities was an important part of the work program.

Initial sampling campaign finished

An initial sampling campaign was performed on two MALEG demonstration sites in Unterschleißheim and Haag am Hausruck. Samples for a complete liquid and gas analysis were taken and analyzed in the Hydroisotop labs to determine the initial chemical conditions at the different geothermal power plants.
